30 Days to Greatness Series
I am the first to admit that there are parts of my life that could be MUCH better.
Why, I could even be Great ! I want to be........ so that I can make the world a much, much better place.
THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAKING THOSE CHANGES RESTS ENTIRELY WITH ME!
Every one us wants to:
BE MORE HAVE MORE DO MORE
But at what price ???
Something stops us, holds us back, keeps us trapped as losers, non-winners, mediocre or,...... only Good, but NOT GREAT!!
I KNOW that I, and everyone I ever met was born with the seeds of TRUE GREATNESS.
We have within our minds, souls and hearts the Capacity and Ability to Be:
ONE OF THE CENTURY'S 1000 MOST INFLUENTIAL/POWERFUL GREAT PEOPLE,
in whatever way we want to affect the world.
BUT most of us never get close to manifesting that Greatness? Why?
Now I DO NOT MEAN ONLY GREAT AND FAMOUS,
because YOU CAN BE
TRULY GREAT AND YET TOTALLY UNKNOWN!!!
TO BE GREAT, REALLY GREAT, IS TO MAKE A HUGE, HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE PLANET,THE HUMAN RACE, AND THE FUTURE.

Achieving excellence

DAY 2: JULY 2, 2010 "WHERE DO WE START"
I have to be honest, friends……I have no idea how to tell you how to become great, yet......,
because I have not done it myself.
For years I have asked Myself and God “How do I become Great?
It’s like… How do I get there from here…….Like asking: “What does an orange taste like,
when I do not even know what that an orange even exists! I bet it is a similar problem for you.
How do we make of biggest dreams come true?
I do not mean to brag, honestly (!) but I have survived polio, cancer, -
and heart attacks, worked for the President, lived with a Guru Master in India,
overcome childhood Priest abuse, becoming a Minister and having a very personal
relationship with God, with an incredible family and friends, and I have earned and wasted millions of dollars…
And yet, (BUT)…..
I can honestly say I have NEVER lived up to my full potential! I have NOT been GREAT.
Something in me is holding me back from TRUE GREATNESS.
What do I mean Greatness? I mean Greatness in a making the contribution I want and can make to the future of Humanity, making the world a better place.
I DO NOT care if I am ever recognized for it…..but deep inside me I KNOW I CAN DO SOMETHING PROFOUND to better the world…… and that it is my destiny and within my grasp. I think it is why I have survived.
BUT something always stops me short! Something in the way I think. Thank God I know that much. That’s a good place to start.
So this year, after facing my demons, conquering my diseases, and in the process of writing a bestseller, I began the ultimate task: finding the way to GREATNESS for myself and EVERYONE I know.
What if one of my contributions is to find yet another key that unlocks that door, the path to BEING GREAT? WOW!!!1 Should I be so fortunate! So honored! Now that would make this life worth living.
So I opened Google and started asking/typing:

DAY 3- JULY 3, 2010 THE GREATNESS FORMULA
WELCOME TO
30 DAYS OF GREATNESS
Yesterday was a great place to start. I had an epiphany! I was able to see several keys and blocks
to attaining Greatness:
I HAVE, just like you do:
Tremendous Desire
Incredible Talent, Intelligence, and Love
Unlimited Resources
Great Examples and Access to their life Stories
Plenty of Time
An unselfish Cause (helping humanity)
I NEED MORE:
Daily Passion
Daily Discipline
Commitment
I Finally realized what my Stopping Blocks were:
My programming, my subconscious thinking, my childhood-based habits,
my laziness, my trying to do it alone without coaching,
my buying in to my"poor me story", my "settling for " good" is good enough",
my" someday I will do it" BS story...etc
For most of my life I did not know that I had 100% control and
choice over my mind, and thinking, feelings and passion.
Then when I learned that I did, I did not exercise that control.
Then when I started to exercise that control, I was inconsistent and lazy.
Now I see clearly that MY THINKING is the measure of my mediocrity or my greatness! NOT MY CIRCUMSTANCES!
Now I have run out of excuses. OH DANG......
Friends, just like you, I do not want to leave this life without making a
huge improvement in my life and in the world, and making life better for my children and those around me.
Now I see clearly that I can.
Here I am on July 3, the day before Independence Day (no less), with the path to Greatness lit
up clear as day before me.
BINGO!!!
Please read CAREFULLY, this may just be the Greatness Formula:
Only Allow and Apply Positive Thinking, Emotion and Passion to Every Waking Moment,
with clear Purpose,
Goals, Plans and a Mission, surrounded ONLY by people of similar Intention and Mindset,
Be in Total Integrity, Be In-Service to Humanity, with a life filled with Love --
and we cannot fail to have a Life Beyond our Wildest Dreams, and thus achieve True Greatness.
Can it be that Easy?
Well, maybe easier said than done. But true, none the less ..........

DAY 4- JULY, 2010 CLEARING THE ROADBLOCKS TO GREATNESS
WELCOME TO
30 DAYS OF GREATNESS
One of the key ingredients of attaining GREATNESS is Perfect Health, it is a key ingredient of Integrity,
which means Wholeness, not just Honesty.
It does not work very well to Be Great and very ill the same time (LOL).
I have been absent from these pages for a few days,
due a continuing heart problem, and I finally have GREAT news.
MY heart condition has been fixed after 8 Years of ambulances and crises.
That is one huge roadblock to GREATNESS cleared out of the way.
Today as we explore the path to GREATNESS let's take a look at our Roadblocks, and how to clear them away.
Remember the GREATNESS FORMULA:
Engage only Positive Thinking and Emotion
Have great Passion
Know your Purpose in Life
Have Clear Goals
Have a Clear Mission
Be In Total integrity (Wholeness including Honesty)
Be In Service to Others
Have a Life filled with Love
Surrounded by people of similar Intention and Mindset
Take a moment a score yourself in each of those areas on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 1 being the lowest).
In any area where you score less than 8 list Your roadblocks, what is keeping you from
9/10 Greatness in that area.
Then List what you need to do or change to raise your performance in that area.
Make an agreement with yourself and a significant other person to make that change every day for 30 days.
My mentor Dr. Vern Black and I have used this matrix and change formula in the Winner's Circle Course we have taught to more than 5000 people. Every one of them doubled their income in 6 months and made incredible changes of GREATNESS in their lives.

DAY 4- JULY 7, 2010 ADDENDUM
A reader wrote to me asked:
"there are thousands of motivational writers, speakers and books out there, pointing this and that way to be Great and or have a better life"...
Rev. Will, What if only one person of your thousands of readers REALLY GETS IT and becomes GREAT and changes the world. ONLY One?
I replied: " I heard a story of a little girl and her grandpa going down to the beach that was covered with thousands of stranded starfish. She grabbed one and threw it to safety in the water.
Her Grandpa said " You can't save all of them", and she responded: "But I saved that one Grandpa, and that one, and one" and giggled as she threw one more, and one more, in delight.
I truly think that I am onto something profound. It is working in my life and the life of a core group of friends testing this process around me.
The human race is stranded on the shores of mediocrity, misery, obesity, divorce, substance abuse and transient happiness. It's High Time we find our way to Ecstasy, Extra-Ordinary Living, and GREATNESS. It is human Destiny to Be GREAT.
I for one will not rest until I find the treasure at the end of this rainbow that I see. I am glad you are along for the ride.

DAY 5- JULY 8, 2010 THE POWER OF AGREEMENT
Yesterday I outlined a simple, yet disciplined process to find out where you are out of alignment with the GREATNESS FORMULA, and very possibly what is keeping you from having your dreams come true and achieving TRUE GREATNESS...
to make a series of 30 day behavior change agreements with your self and a significant other in order to change your Life Dramatically.
Please do not underestimate the POWER of SPEAKING AND KEEPING YOUR WORD and The POWER OF AGREEMENT. Both invoke Great Powers of Spirit to assist you in the accomplishment of your intended deeds....
In fact the Bible begins by speaking of the power of the Word, and speaks powerfully about people making agreements:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," (John 1:1)
Also, "Whenever two or more are gathered in my name, I AM there." (Matt 18:20)
In the coming days we will deeply explore, and make agreements in the key areas that produce Greatness:

YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE
Imagine a great cruise ship that has no rudder.
That is similar to living without having a clear Purpose in life.
Your Purpose is the Why you strive, the Why you push on,
the Why you want to BE more Have more, Do more and Do it Better.
Once you know and define your purpose, you can dis-engage from any
people and behaviors that do not serve your Purpose.
This is a Powerful step towards Greatness.
Having a purpose in life is a lot of work. It is also an absolute necessity.
Life with purpose is sweet and fulfilling, even when there is much difficulty and challenge.
Where there is purpose, there is energy. Actions directed
toward a compelling purpose will create a powerful momentum
that lines up events and circumstances in your favor.
Purpose gives you a reason to get going each day and
strengthens your determination to persist when the going
gets tough.
Purpose pushes you firmly toward your highest level of accomplishment.
Connect, and continually re-connect yourself with a meaningful purpose.
And that purpose will connect you with the best of life's treasures.

WELCOME TO

FINDING YOUR TRUE PURPOSE IN LIFE
Once you know your Purpose In Life, you can measure any proposed venture,
activity, or expenditure of time or money against your Purpose to see
if it is in alignment.
Here is how I coach my client's to discover and WRITE OUT their Purpose:
My Purpose in Life is to ______________ (give, support, empower, etc)
_____________ other ____________(people, children, disabled youth, etc)
to _____________ (discover, realize, experience, etc)
________ their __________,
so that they can _______________. (achieve, feel, behave)
Once the great ship that you are has it's rudder (Purpose), and a very centered and powerful you at the wheel there is no stopping you from reaching any port you desire.

Make a decision and then make the decision right.
Line up your Energy with it.
In most cases it doesn't really matter what you decide.
Just decide.
There are endless options that would serve you enormously well,

DAY 8 JULY, 13, 2010
WELCOME TO
30 DAYS OF GREATNESS
THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
Were you ever issued " The Operating Manual to the Human Mind" ?
NO ONE THAT I KNOW EVER WAS EVER GIVEN SUCH A COPY.
LIFE WAS ALWAYS trial and ERROR (mostly ERROR) since birth!
A few great people figured out how the Mind works and they became either Rich, Powerful,
Famous, Happy beyond measure, or all at once and more!
Well I got my hands on that Operating Manual, and was startled to
learn how simple and easy the Rules ARE for the Operation
of A Powerful and Successful Mind!
(I also found out why, throughout history,
the rich and powerful kept the manual and money all to themselves...... (It's a big Secret!)
For example.....
In Chapter 17 it says: "thinking is VOLUNTARY , and at any given moment!.....
WE are in control and thus FREE to think any thought WE want to!
HOLY COW ! This means there are no more victims!
In Chapter 18, it says: ALL FEELINGS ARE THE RESULT OF THE THINKING (consciousness or unconscious) WE HAD JUST PRIOR TO THE FEELINGS. WOW !
I SUDDENLY REALIZED I WAS IN CONTROL OF ALL OF MY THINKING AND FEELINGS!
In Chapter 24 it proved that people who always
FREELY CHOSE TO THINK POSITIVE thoughts,
ALWAYS had positive FEELINGS and ALWAYS had INCREDIBLE LIVES,
beyond their wildest dreams.
It went on to say that like everyone,
EVERYbody had bad days, with negative feelings,
they were called low moods, .........
it was just that on those days,
those people who understood moods just
ignored their negative thoughts and feelings
that came from the low moods, until the mental storm passed.
WOW, I mean WOW!!......
I FELT LIKE I HAD JUST BEEN GIVE A FUR-LINEd,
silk-HOODED GOOD THINKINGS-GREAT FEELINGS RAINCOAT!
I LEARNED THE POWER OF POSITIVE FEELINGS JUST LIKE THAT!
Now this stuff could really make me GREAT........
the power to ALMOST always keep my mind positive,
and control my mind instead of it control me--
and I was only on Chapter 24.......

and we are just getting started! heck, it is only day 8....)

the entire positive, and creative,(and I think quite helpful) THE EARLIER DAY 8
message was written in a 15 minute period last night by me
ONLY 24 hours after suffering a vicious beating and stabbing, caused my a mugger...
FROM AN INTENSIVE CARE BED,
I was in a hospital trauma Intensive Care unit with a brain injury,
broken rib, several stab wounds, internal injuries, and pain everywhere,
( plus a few good painkillers I must admit LOL).... and .....
here is (ONCE AGAIN)the KEY .....
(I quote, the OPERATING MANUAL TO THE MIND --CHAPTERS 17-24:
I HAD CONTROL OF WHERE I LET MY THINKING GO --
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE, AND WHAT I FELT AND WROTE TO YOU--)

My Friends, YOU are no different than any one of those people. You were born human, you suffered as a child, you struggled with life's challenges.
All you need to do is Light a Raging Fire inside of you, A Passionate Cause for Others that consumes your Being, and calls forth from you to blossom that Seed of Greatness that was planted in you at birth by God.
