WHY DO I DO THIS SACRED WORK??


I was recently asked why I have written the Daily IN-Spire for two and a half years. I was floored by the question, particularly by the fact that it HAS been a long time now.

Then I realized the answer:

It is simple. I Love you whether I personally know you or not

My life is a gift, and is a rare privilege, that I have the honor and obligation to give back to others in any and every way I can every day. That is my price for the air and space I consume on your/our Planet Earth.

I didn't always believe this way.

This column, this piece of unfolding work is truly a Labor of Love, a tribute to and ongoing continuation of the many teachers, trainers, ministers, and guides who have touched, molded and shaped my life. Each of has our heroes, our role models, our teachers who helped make us who we are today. My were artists in shaping the mind, heart and soul of someone who wanted to help others.

Each of is us an artist in some unique way, in something special that touches the hearts,minds and lives of others, whether we know it or not.

I am a wordsmith and my canvas is the mind and hearts of my audiences, my paint is the eloquent word, my brush is my voice and my typing fingers, and most of all My Purpose is to better your lives and the World.

Good work for an ordinary man with an extra-ordinary dream and incredible friends like you.

All I am asking is:

The world wants and needs more Love.

If not You, who?

If not Now, when?

I am not asking why,

I am only asking you WHY NOT !!

I have had the privilege and honor of working intimately with thousands of people, as Minister, coach, counselor and therapist, helping and supporting them to shape, change and empower their lives:

You are the Infinite Goodness, The Perfected Oneness, The Brightest Light Of Love,

dropped by Life onto a hustle-bustle planet called Earth, in some cosmic accident-test,

with a veil of human doing-ness slipped over your Eternal memory of Self-Realized Perfection that keeps you asking:

"Do You See What I See?".

My dear Brothers and Sisters, Yes I DO See You So Clearly, so do your wives, husbands, mothers, fathers and children!

You are the Embodiment of God, the embodiment of Love, and Life itself,

and no amount of lack, stress, pain, or struggle , and running here and there will ever change OUR minds from the fact that:

What is keeping you from Bliss and Fulfillment, Grasshopper?", asked Master, hitting the boy on the head with a stick.

"Me, and This and That, and That and This!", cried the sobbing young boy, drenching his robe with the tears-of-years of searching for Truth.

"Wipe your tears and Listen carefully.....really Hear Me this time, my Son, it is finally time for me to tell you the Truth !!!!!

"Enlightenment, and True, Lasting Peace and Happiness is not something you find", The Master gently explained,

"Enlightenment will find you, and then only when it is ready to burn you alive, and then only after you stop looking,..... and when does, just forget about it, and go wash the dishes and sweep the path..... for it is way over-rated!"

"Almost every supposed enlightened Guru I know, has his carefully shaved head stuck head way up his bottom, ....I mean look at the scandals and controversies, and splits and scams and schisms in virtually every group,movement and church...NO ONE CAN AGREE!, nor pass it to their addicted followers."

"This is way way too much OM RAMMA MAMMA DRAMMA!"

"hmmmm, here..... here's apoem written, a man who had many gurus and gave up on them altogether, in California, ....he's a minister named Rev. Will Green .....

At least he was honest enough to admit that he saw the Truth but admitted he still could not always walk his talk.......

...that was so very refreshing, Grasshopper,

just by that alone ....his words and his example, and his will and struggle to live and gain Freedom inspired many people.

MASTER OF NOTHING

Behold Yourself, Son of Man
You who left the Light
To illuminate the darkness
Was lost, and became blackened
In the very long night of your little mind.

Then,
Awakening in and from Dream
You/he,
Son of God
Chose to stay in the Void,
Learning to embrace and Love
The darkness that was
just an illusion of your silly mind.

Until,
Fully en-lightened by the See-ing
Of Nothing
The un-blinding Light of Truth

Having been long hidden by the veils

The I AM

There is Nothing to DO
Nothing to Learn
Nothing to Un-do
Nothing to Regret
Nothing to Change
Nothing to Force
Nothing to Resist

There is ONLY Love that I AM!

You ARE!
And Always WILL BE,
ONE,
LOVE!

For I AM
the Master of No-thing at ALL,
The All-Father of the Darkness
The Everything Mother of the Light.

Now that you know this Thing.

It is so fitting that these powerful words of my first teacher in the early seventies came back to me last night, while I slept, eagerly awaiting my wedding on Monday. I awoke wanting to urge you to:

Give more Love, to express more Love, to Be more Love. "What the World Needs Now is Love, Sweet, Love".... Hal David/Burt Bacharach.

Love is the Ultimate tonic for any ailment, any ill, any strife, any conflict. Love is the most perfect antidepressant, the healer of all wounds, and the glue that holds together families, villages and nations.

Please ask yourself this question: Is there just a little more Love that I could express to someone I know or to someone in need today?

Is there someone I know who is hurting that I could reach out to in Love tonight in an extra effort?

Could I go through my phone list and make some love calls when I get home tonight?

These are life changing actions, and you can never guess the effect they may have on the other end.

A Poem that I wrote about the Truth of Health:

The Dying Man asked the Wise Sage from his death bed:
“How do I find Courage on this Highway of Fear?
How Do I find Peace on this Path of Inner War?
How Do I find comfort in this river of pain?
Where is there Life in these moments of death?”


The Sage calmly responded:
“The answers will come when you close your eyes,
Plug your ears, silence your mind and listen to the Whisper of God in your Heart.


The Truth of the Reality of your Life has always resided inside your Soul.
You have been too busy driving too fast on highways and rushing down rivers to hear it.

In an instant of Truth the illness died,

Most of us have NEVER had a moment of true Quiet Mind, or have never fully recognized it when it happened.

Why Not?

Let me use a analogy to explain it.

If you were never taught how to tend a garden, you never knew how to distinguish between the vegetable and the weeds. oops

Similarly our minds are so busy from the first moments of life, always thinking thoughts about this and that, we never know how to recognize a true moment of Peace, aka the Quiet Mind.

It truly takes being taught the following truths about human functioning, The Operating Manual to the Human Mind, if you will:

First, that such a state of Quiet Mind exists;

Second, that such a state is most important and desirable;

Third, that such a state can become a regular habit;

and fourth, that such a state can lead to incredible mental riches and more.

Ergo, Christian, Hindu and Buddhist monks spend decades chanting, mediating, and praying seeking the ability to have a moment of Quiet Mind, True Enlightenment.

Here is where all paths of Spirituality meet and agree......

For example, the Bible: "Be Still and Know that I Am, God. "

Buddhism: "Seek Enlightenment, The State of Nothingness, Nirvana."

Hinduism: "Seek Oneness with Unity, with Brahma."

etc.

Here is a bit of simple guidance of how I found my way...... I

learned to recognize the fleeting moments of Quiet, Peaceful Mind ( and I do mean fleeting) by noticing that suddenly I had no thoughts, so then I would stop seeking any more thoughts and allow the Peace to envelop me like a warm blanket.

I have to admit that these moments feel odd, like being struck by a baseball bat, or being stoned ( that is no admission on my part LOL), but that is how you come to recognize them.
When you do, move into them and let them wash over you.

The more you do, the more you will find out their unique value for you.
I can tell you both from personal experience, and witness of the experience of countless others, the value is incredible.
